Limpopo Black Industrialists to Receive a Boost from the Signing of an MoU Between
and Limpopo Government
The Limpopo Black Industrialists will next week receive a boost from the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Trade and Industry (
) and the Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism of the Limpopo Provincial government. This momentous occasion will take place during the launch of the a multi-million-rand Black Industrialist firm’s expansion project of Eastern Trading, a company trading as Dursots All Joy, in Modjadjiskloof, Tzaneen on 4 December 2017.
According to the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Bulelani Magwanishe
the memorandum seeks to highlight frameworks that will promote and ensure meaningful participation in the advancement of the Black Industrialists in Limpopo and demonstrate a joint effort between the provincial and national governments in advancing the objectives of the Black Industrialists Programme in the economy.
“Limpopo will be the second province to sign the MoU after KwaZulu-Natal. I am optimistic that this will open doors for Black Industrialists in Limpopo. The signing of this MOU, according is a clear indication that the national government is committed to working with the provincial government for the advancement of black industrialists in the province,” says Magwanishe.
He adds that the Black Industrialists Programme places a particular emphasis on the need to strengthen and increase black participation and enhance entrepreneurial dynamism in the mainstream economy.
“The success of the programme will have a spill-over effect on other key developmental objectives of the National Development Programme such as job creation, supplier development, skills transfer and mainly localisation,” states Magwanishe.
The MEC for Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism Mr Seaparo Sekoati says the implementation of the MoU will enhance participation of local industrialists in the Special Economic Zones programme and also improve participation of the province as a whole in all incentives offered by
