Assistance is provided to qualifying South African exporters to introduce South
African products into foreign markets, in a cost effective manner.
The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) extends an invitation to
exporters of automotive components to apply to participate in the Automechanika
2008 exhibition, scheduled to take place from 16 - 21 September 2008 in Frankfurt, Germany.
The deadline date for the submission of completed National Pavilion application
forms is 29 February 2008.
the dti will offer the following financial support to qualifying firms:
- Air travel assistance
- Daily subsistence allowance
- Freight forwarding of display material
- Exhibition space and booth rental costs.
The exhibition will focus on the full range of motor vehicle components for the
engine, body, chassis, electronics, equipment for vehicle services and repairs;
body work and painting, tyres, batteries and performance systems.
The South African National Pavilion will focus on vehicle components.
