Deputy Minister Thabethe to take the dti to Buffalo City

The Department of Trade and Industry together with Eastern Cape Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism, the National Youth Development Agency and Buffalo City Municipality will host an Imbizo that will focus on young entrepreneurs. The imbizo will take place at Mdantsane Sun, East London on Friday, 10 June 2011 from 09H00. Deputy Minister Ms Elizabeth Thabethe will deliver a keynote address.

The purpose of the Imbizo is to encourage the youth to get involved and participate in the economy, promote integrated communication and service delivery to youth entrepreneurs and to establish relations and partnerships with all levels of government and youth business organizations.

Young business people and aspiring entrepreneurs attending the event will be advised on how to start, grow and sustain their businesses, during interactive information-sharing sessions hosted by the dti agencies such as Small Enterprise Development Agency (seda), Company and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) and National Empowerment Fund (NEF) and their strategic partners at the exhibitions stands.
